July 13 2012:

Ok, so this was actually an ad that Interweave invited us to place in their special Pieceworks Blue edition, and we dont usually post things like that here, but the reponse was so crazy that we were on the phone immediately with Madelinetosh to ask for more more more of the lace in Midnight in Manhattan! We love that so many people love Midnight in Manhattan, Madelinetosh and Zabeth as much as we do!  Three weks later, we are still fielding calls and orders from this issue! The hubbub started a week before the magazine was in stores- as soon as the ipad version came out!

NBC and TAXI TV:

We were so excited to have NBC call us and ask to film a sequence to run in the NBC New York taxis for LXTV and LX.TV 1st Look featuring Sara Gore of Open House NYC! The team was so nice and we are so excited! Watch out for us any day now in the taxis! If you see us, please holler out on our FB page!

The Yarn Company on Satellite!

The Yarn Company was featured bright and early April 11 on “Morning Living” by Martha Stewart Living Radio! Hosts Betsy Karetnick and Brian Kelsey chatted with our in-house designer extraordinaire John Ravet, talking about The Yarn Company store and its astounding range of fibers. John also discussed topics such as how to get started knitting, how to select the right yarn for your project, and which materials are necessary (& their price range)—and he suggested some great simple patterns for getting started. Wow!

The Yarn Company in Vogue Knitting! Monday February 27

The Yarn Company's Go-Totes and Sacks are in the newest edition of Vogue Knitting! We are so happy we met the ueber talented Jenelle from First World Trash, who sat with Assaf for hours to figure out how to customize her one of a kind products for knitters.

We can't wait for the S/S 2012 issue of Vogue Knitting to hit the shelves. The Editor's Letter by Trisha Malcolm on the Vogue Knitting  website reads:

"Inspired by the concept of artists creating with yarn, we conjured up the perfect scene for our Top 10 knit must-haves for spring (page 49). The garments, in soft shades of blue, green and turquoise, take on a beautiful watercolor effect when photographed in an artist’s studio. Other trends to look for this season: 1) color—pretty pastels and strong brights, including Tangerine Tango, Pantone’s color of the year; 2) lace, whether white and feminine or femme fatale black over nude; 3) shimmer and shine, feathers and fringe; 4) Gatsby–inspired glamour; 5) flowers; 6) mesh looks to layer; 7) shorts; and 8) crochet. Knit away!!!"

Can't wait. Meanwhile, buy the bags online or by phone.

Check us (and our bags) out the upcoming Vogue Knitting S/S!!!
