We were shopping at Barneys a few years ago and saw a sweater similar to this one for sale in the Baby department. We loved it and thought it would be a great sweater to copy. We chose some fun, funky colors and decided that cotton chenille would be a soft, baby friendly material to use. THIS PATTERN CAN BE FOUND IN THE YARN GIRLS' GUIDE TO KID KNITS.

Add a little pizazz to the basic baby cardigan. It is knit in 3 colors of Zara and uses a double seed stitch. We have used colors that are perfect for the little girl in your life but pick from the many Zara colors and choose some blues or greens or reds and it becomes a great cardigan for any little boy. Jordana made this scarf, hat and mitten set for her son Max. She knit them out of Cashmerino Aran. This is a great yarn for children because it is very soft and it is machine washable. Jordana made up the scarf and hat pattern, but the mitten pattern is from Melanie Falick's Knitting for Baby.
