This soft cushy pillow is a great introduction to the intarsia method. We chose 4 colors to knit in a quadrant pattern. We used two strands of chenille for a quick and simple project. Accessorize your living room. Pillows also make the perfect gift. Click to see larger image to see it knit in a different color way.

The first pillow with the square inside the squares is a fun pillow from the Vogue Knitting on the Go Pillow book. We used Zara to make it. The pattern calls for a linen stitch. This stitch makes the stitches tight together so that a pillow will not show through the knitted fabric. It also gives the pillow a nice texture. You just need one ball of each color. The pillow is a little on the advanced side because you need to use bobbins.
The second pillow is the one that has four squares. It is knit in the Alpaca using a double strand of yarn. We used shades of grey and brown but you could certainly use bolder colors. Again, you just need 1 ball of each color.
