Once you have your slip knot you are ready to cast on. Remember that the slip knot counts as your first cast on stitch.
1. At the length of yarn that you have pulled for your tail make a loop. You should see an ‘X’.
2. Grab hold of the strand of yarn that is on the top of the ‘X’ and bring this strand behind and through the loop that has been created
3. Pull this new loop through the old loop and pull down to create your slip knot!
