Electric!

Bright Lines Cardigan! Irina Poludnenko’s fun new toddler’s cardigan spells happiness. It’s easy on and off with its V-neck and colorful buttons, and there’s a bright pocket for treasures. This is a project for beginners to advanced knitters, done in two pieces. A one-year-old’s size takes 3 balls (different colors) of Koigu’s 100% Premium Merino (175 yards per 50-gram skein); use one more skein (& one more color) for ages 2-3. Gauge 6.25 stitches per inch, 8 rows per inch in stockinette stitch, on #3 needles.

Shiri Mor!

The rumors are true: design star Shiri Mor is joining our teaching staff! On Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. every two weeks, Shiri will lead a wonderful workshop for advanced beginners and up. The first, on March 11, is a workshop in the simple and versatile colorwork technique intarsia. In this two-hour class, you will use the art of intarsia to create a colorful, plush bed for your furry friend---or a scarf for a friend with no fur. Space is limited, so register now!

Self-taught Shiri Mor gets a kick out of the math involved in pattern design and loves to “pass on the bug” by teaching new knitters. Her designs have appeared in Vogue Knitting, Knit1, Crochet Today, and Knit Simplemagazines, as well as various publications by Lion Brand and Tahki Stacy Charles. In addition to knitting and crocheting, Shiri enjoys handicrafts of all kinds, including embroidery, jewelry making, and working with polymer clay. So stay tuned for her upcoming workshops, and welcome the multitalented Shiri to our team. Lucky Yarn Company---and lucky you!
