Knit Notes is for knitters who want to explore or kick-start the creative possibilities of developing their own knitwear designs and organizing notes on adapting patterns. The book begins with ideas for finding inspiration to jump-start a knitted garment or accessory design and suggestions about how to use the templates, each of which includes space for the project title, assorted inspirational materials, information on yarn, tools, and gauge, project instructions, and a photo of the finished project. Also included are two different types of graph paper—one for sketching/developing a silhouette/schematic, the other for creating stitch charts—a sample garment pattern to inspire (or adapt), outlines of basic shapes to serve as a jumping-off point or to copy and sketch on, information on measurements and yarn, plus a ruler printed on the inside back cover.
